Conversations

We like the word ‘conversations’,  and for us it’s about ongoing communication – when we or our members find an interesting stream for a conversation we want to bring it alive and develop it for everyone’s benefit.

TFD Conversations have been designed to bring members and experts together to collaboratively find new solutions and thinking for problems.

The idea of TFD Conversations is for members and TFD to come up with a list of key issues facing creative communication and then bring together some clever, relevant people to try and find a solution. Each conversation lasts 3 months, has a chairman, an online environment and members who are invited to drive the debate. TFD Team members will act as catalysts for the debate, feed it with reports and insights and viewpoints from outside and invite ‘guest conversationalists’ with specific relevant insights. At the end of the 3 months process the core team will present their findings to members and we’ll publish the results to members and our wider ‘client’ audience.

Subjects can be anything from business issues such as ‘The Remuneration Model’ to creative issues such as ‘Brands and Gaming’ or ‘Art & Commerce’, anything that’s relevant and of interest to our members.

Remuneration
As the shape and role of creative businesses change and as traditional communication delivery methods change the call is out for a new remuneration model.

This conversation will doubtless throw up numerous new ones on vertical issues such as owning IP on creative ideas, Royalty payments, Ideation fees and the like, but from this outsetb this conversation is about looking at the overall picture, the issues and the opportunities and from this creating some new thinking and a few actionable solutions.
